Why: “I joined SMARRT in order to become more knowledgeable about the topic areas of sex, substance, and self, in order to be better prepared to impart knowledge to others as well as utilize what I had learned in necessary situations. Originally, my connection with SMARRT and my goal in this organization felt very surface level, however, once a close friend was struggling with self-care and potential substance abuse, SMARRT became even more personal and applicable.”
